How random video chat works

Pick a nickname, click Start, and Libekoo connects you with another person for a one-on-one video conversation. Talk for as long as you both like; hit Next when you want to move on.

It all runs in your browser — no app to install, on computer or phone. And it's free, with no time limit.

Reveal mode: talk first, see later

On Libekoo, both video streams start blurred. As the conversation continues, the blur gradually lifts and the two of you come into focus.

It's a small change with a big effect. The classic random-cam problem — people fishing for shock reactions — loses its point when nobody is visible in the first seconds. What's left is exactly what Reveal mode rewards: an actual conversation. And if it goes nowhere, hit Next before the blur lifts — no one has seen anyone.

Your camera, your call

Libekoo never touches your camera when you land on the page. The browser asks for permission only at the moment you click Start — and you can withdraw it in your browser settings whenever you want.

The call itself is peer-to-peer over WebRTC and encrypted: your stream travels directly from your browser to the other person's, without passing through our servers, and it is never recorded — there is nothing on our side to record. When a direct connection isn't possible (strict firewalls, some mobile networks), an encrypted relay server in France passes the stream along without storing anything.

Add one-click reporting reviewed by a human team, and hosting in France under GDPR, and you know exactly where you stand before you press Start.
